The literature festival begins this year on 29th October and will end on November 1st. It is the 6th edition of this literature festival. Over 100 renowned writers, thinkers like Vikram Seth, Germaine Greer, Anil Dharkar, Deepa Gahlot, Devdutt Pattnaik, Shobha De, Wendy Doniger, Rachel Holmes and more from around the world will be at National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Nariman Point, Mumbai. This year, the festival will also be held at another venue Prithvi Theatre, Juhu, Mumbai. The Tata Literature fest. Committee is a wonderful team comprising of Shashi Baliga, Quasar Thakore Padamsee, Amy Fernandes, Antonine Lewis, Dr. Vinod Kumar Budhiraja, Carlin Carr, Tanvi Kanchan and Tasneem Vahanavaty who put in their hard work and dedication to bring to us this wonderful event.

There will be interesting discussions happening at this event beginning with the opening ceremony on 29 October by Germaine Greer in conversation with Vikram Seth on ‘Can books change the world’?

For poetry lovers, there is poetry workshop with Robert Sullivan. The workshop profile – ‘Introduction of Newness and Emotion – Explore techniques for poetry.’

Comedy of horrors is performance at NCPA. Hair –raising stories of Ambrose Bierce and Edgar Allan Poe will be on stage.
